On August 18, 2014, the Consulate General of the Republic of Fiji in Shanghai officially launched in Shanghai, China. The current Consul General, Dr. Yok Yee (Yolida) CHAN took office in April 2016 and concurrently served as Trade Commissioner in China.The Consulate General of the Republic of Fiji in Shanghai represents the Fiji government in Shanghai City, Zhejiang Province, Jiangsu Province and Anhui Province.

As the key link to the bilateral relations between Fiji and China, the Fiji Consulate General activelydeepens close exchanges between governments and civil societies in areascovering trade, investment, tourism, culture and sports cooperation.It also provides services to Fijian nationals living in and visiting China.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Fiji in Shanghai will make unremitting efforts to deepen the mutual understanding and tap the potential of practical co-operation to bring more benefits to the Fijian and Chinese peoples.
