The Macau-Fiji Chamber of Commerce delegation rounded off its first business trip to Fiji on 17th Nov after a week of business meetings and site inspections. The meetings have successfully linked the newly established Chamber to the Fijian business community. The delegation was welcomed by the Hon. Minister Kumar of Industry, Trade and Tourism.

The trip, which was coordinated and arranged by the Consulate General of the Republic of Fiji in Shanghai, gave delegation members a better understanding of the local business environment in Fiji and helped them to identify the investment and trade opportunities. During their visit, the Macau delegation had business meetings with the statutory bodies of Investment Fiji and Fiji Export Council. The delegation also made factory visits to Fijian businesses including Pure Fiji, Noni Tea and Golden Ocean Fish.

On 13th Nov, Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, Qian Bo met the delegation at the Chinese Embassy, where the Ambassador welcomed the delegation and stressed that their trip further strengthened the business ties between China and Fiji.

On 16th Nov, the Macau delegation also attended the PM’s International Business Award, hosted at the Sheraton Hotel in Nadi before returning to Macau the following day.
