At the invitation of Foreign Affairs Office of Anhui Provincial People’s Government and Foreign Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Dr. Yok Yee Chan, Consul General of the Republic of Fiji in Shanghai went to Anhui Province for the International Cooperation Promotion for Yangtze River Delta Integration held from 19th to 23rd September. Themed “Innovative, Creative and Vibrant Anhui”, the event attracted more than 200 delegates from home and abroad. Mr. Zhou Xi’an, Vice Governor of Anhui Provincial People's Government, Mr. Sun Donghai, Deputy Secretary-General of Anhui Provincial People's Government and Consuls General from 15 countries attended this promotion as well as diplomatic corps, local officials and business representatives.

During Dr. Yok Yee Chan’s visit in Anhui, she participated in a series of activities, including the 2019 World Manufacturing Convention; Anhui Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion and Tongling City Promotion Event. In the margins, Dr. Yok Yee Chan also visited Tongling Wharf Bookstore, Tongling Museum, Chengkan Ancient Village and Tangyue Memorial Archway, acquiring more knowledge of Anhui socio-economic and cultural developments and lying the foundation of Fiji-Anhui bilateral cooperation and personnel exchange in the near future.
