On 23rd November, the 12th Chinese Enterprises Outbound Investment Conference (CEOIC) was jointly held by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the People’s Government of Guangzi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Nanning. Over 500 guests from twenty countries, including governors, scholars and entrepreneurs attended this conference. Consul General of the Republic of Fiji in Shanghai, Dr. Yolinda Chan, was invited to this conference along with represents from other countries.

Since the inception in 2007, CEOIC has successfully been held for 11 times. This year, the theme of CEOIC 2018 is “The Belt and Road” New Engine New Pattern. Two panels themed New Opportunities on Outbound Investment and New Challenges on Outbound Investment and four parallel sessions of Overseas Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, Agriculture and Food Processing, Cross-Border Mergers and New Materials & New Technology were organized in the conference. Besides, 2018 China Business Environment Research Report and other trade and investment related reports were released on CEOIC. Experiences and probabilities shared on CEOIC are valuable and positive references for Fiji in trade and investment corporation with China in the future.
